Spring 2010

  •   Good morning Pallet: Tan or Pale gold, Coral, Mineral Grey, and Yellow.
  •   Good Night Pallet: Pastel hues, particularly Pale Blue or Shell Pink for ceilings, Eggplant, Midnight Blue, and Wine.

While in the past toned down colors have been popular for home trends, the past few years brighter tones have started comeback and that trend is only going to get bigger in the coming years. Yellow will be one of them. Yellow brings in the sun's warmth and sparks imagination and innovation. The Green hues will trend away from the sage colors, and blend with the yellows for a more vibrant look. Lavender, portraying luxury and elegance will be a huge choice in the bedroom.

      Interior paint color trends:

  •  Purple is very in this year, but it is very easy to go overboard. Be careful when painting with purple; maybe go for a

light purple or Lavender, and offset it with White or Gray to minimize the impact.

  • Bright colors such as Coral can also be fabulous when offset with a neutral such as Gray, White, or Brown.

  • Try mixing calm colors such as Pale Blue or Gray with unique textures (think curtains or funky wall hangings) to really

              punch up a wall.

  • Lime and Fuschia pair up for an interesting contrast of organic greens and the passion of  a light red

  • A retro look is always. Throw back to the 60's with Olive. Paired with Khaki, it  grounds your space and makes it more

              earthy.

  • Color trends of arctic Silvery Bues have made their way from fashion to rooms. Combined with deep Orange for a bold

look or Blue and Cream for a relaxing atmosphere.

  • Black goes with any color. Add a touch of Merlot for a dramatic yet elegant dining room.
